Fellwood Updates Hub
What changed from the demo to 1.0.1, and whether the lumber empire is worth the launch price.
Fellwood left Steam’s pre-release row on August 14, 2026. Allerton Apps (Josh) priced it at $6.99 with a 10% introductory discount, kept the demo, and shipped Hotfix 1.0.1 almost immediately. This hub is the news desk. Patch Notes is the timeline. Review is the buy/skip. System Requirements is the hardware and Deck page. Demo vs Full Game is the difference sheet for app 4777870 versus the August 14 release. Gameplay still lives in the Guides Hub and Buildings Hub.
Why an updates category exists on day two
Incrementals change their mind. The demo already rewrote damage from multiplicative to additive, grew the log table to 64, and added clover lightning weather. Launch-week threads are already about FPS limiters, inverted aiming, Mage unlocks, and a 1Q damage icon. If this wiki frozen the demo, it would be lying. If it pretended nothing will patch, it would also be lying. Come here when a Steam news post drops, then follow the child page that matches the question: “what changed?”, “is it good?”, “will my laptop survive?”
How to read patch notes with the rest of the wiki
When a note mentions additive damage, update your mental Buildings Hub ranks — Electro is not a religion. When a note mentions gold logs, update Logs and Acorns. When a note mentions level-up delay or tooltip flicker, update Controls and Collectors and Sawmill. When a note mentions tier 5 luck, update the Prestige Planner. This hub will not duplicate every sentence. It will point.
Launch snapshot
- Developer / publisher: Allerton Apps
- Platforms: Windows and macOS on Steam. Single-player. Steam Cloud. 59 achievements.
- Demo: still listed (app 4777870).
- Languages in the client: many, including languages this wiki does not cover. This site is English, French, German, and Spanish.
- Similar-game gravity: Dwarves Eat Mountain. The review page is honest about that.
If you are brand new, do not start here. Start at Getting Started. If you already own the game and the shop feels different than last night, start at Patch Notes. If you are on the store page with a credit card hovering, start at Review. If you are on a Deck, start at System Requirements and Controls.
Sibling pages in this category
The four children are meant to be read as a set. Notes without a review are a changelog. A review without notes is a vibe. Requirements without notes will not mention the 800-log stutter. The demo page keeps launch-week buyers from treating a truncated roster as the live game. Cross-link them. Then leave this category and go prestige.
Official words always beat ours. Links holds the Steam store, the news hub, and Allerton Apps support. When Josh posts, we follow. Until then, this hub is the short version of launch week.
