Fellwood random events

Timber Rush, Fellstorm, Lucky Breeze — and why clover luck dies the moment you prestige.

Fellwood Random Events Guide

Fellwood’s demo update promised three small random events because the valley felt static. Launch still uses that kit. Josh named them in the Steam news post: Timber Rush, Fellstorm, and Lucky Breeze. Events are not a separate mode. They interrupt a normal run every few minutes, then leave you with either a richer pile or a luck buff that ends on prestige. This page is the field manual. For the shots Lucky Breeze demands, keep Active Abilities open. For the shop that consumes the luck, keep How to Prestige open. Level-Up Cards is where luck actually prints.

Timber Rush is also the title of Allerton Apps’ previous incremental. In Fellwood it is an in-run weather beat, not a store redirect. If a bundle page confuses you, the Demo vs Full Game comparison and Links keep the two products straight.

Timber Rush — logs from the sky

For a short window, logs fall from the sky. Their tier follows the logs already in your pile. A poor pile rains poor wood. A gold-heavy pile rains better gifts. You still need collectors; sky wood that nobody hauls is a screensaver. Logs and Acorns explains why the color of that rain matters. Collectors and Sawmill is how you cash it.

Do not prestige mid-rain unless the shop is already bought. The event is a bonus on the current stack, not a reason to reset into an empty plateau.

Fellstorm — lightning on the pile

Every few seconds during Fellstorm, large bolts hit logs in your stack and explode. Logs in the blast gain a tier. Official notes say this only fires if you already have a serious pile — at least fifty active logs. If you are early and the mill empties the lane instantly, you will not see it. That is a collector problem, not a missing patch. Let the stack exist. Then push the expensive logs toward the Sawmill so they do not sit as scenery.

Do not prestige mid-storm. You are lighting money on fire twice: once as lost value, once as a reset.

Lucky Breeze — four-leaf clovers

Wind pushes clovers across the screen. This is an active event. Shoot them with manual projectiles. Worker shots do nothing. The luck increase lasts until you prestige. Luck improves log rarity and the rarity of level-up cards. That is the entire breeze thesis: skip a TV episode, drag-aim the leaves, then ride the rare packs into prestige-point cards.

Practical tips from playthroughs and the patch text:

  • Front-row buildings with easy drag-aim (axes, ice) are better clover guns than back-row fireballs.
  • If a collector is about to walk through your shot, wait a beat. Hitting a worker is not the goal.
  • Do not reset the run the second the wind stops. Spend the luck on a pack or two.
  • If you are on a Steam Deck and cannot drag-aim, clovers are why Controls exists.

What events are not

They are not a timed exclusive building. They are not a reason to ignore additive damage and stack Electro Wizard. Allerton Apps added them because players said the pile looked samey and the forest felt quiet. Sixty-four log variations arrived in the same patch. Together they are the “why does this log look different” answer on Logs and Acorns.

If an event feels too rare, check your pile size and your AFK habits before assuming a hotfix removed it. Patch Notes lists the demo event patch and Hotfix 1.0.1 (level-up delay, tooltip flicker). No launch note deleted Lucky Breeze.

How events change building choice

During Lucky Breeze you want a projectile you can aim. That nudges Attack Buildings toward axes and ballista manuals, and Wizards toward ice over fire. During Fellstorm and Timber Rush you want collectors ready, not a DPS race. The Buildings Hub ranking already assumes you will mix roles. Events are the reminder that idle and active are both on purpose. Cannons and Projectile Tiers if a fat siege shot is the clover gun you actually wanted.

Achievement names like A Change in the Wind sit on Achievements for a reason. If you are hunting icons, stay in the valley when the weather turns. If you are hunting a clean prestige, take the luck, buy the shop row, then reset on your schedule from the Prestige Planner. What Is the Goal if you thought events were a campaign chapter — they are weather on an endless camp.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions Fellwood players ask after their first prestige.

Do worker shots collect clover luck in Fellwood?

No. Only manual projectiles credit four-leaf clovers. The luck lasts until your next prestige.

Why do I never see the lightning event?

It wants a real pile — around fifty active logs in the demo notes. A starved mill will never qualify.

Should I prestige during an event?

Usually no. Ride lightning value into the mill, and spend clover luck on rare cards before you reset.
